Tai Ingram
School Leader, KIPP Liberation College Preparatory
Tai Ingram joined the KIPP Houston team and family as a Miles Fellow in 2009 and is a proud alumna of the 2011 Principal Prep Cohort. She is currently plowing through her 4th year as school leader at KIPP Liberation College Preparatory Middle School located in the heart of Houston’s historic Third Ward community. Prior to life as Big KIPPster she served as a Houston Teach for America corps member teaching ninth and eleventh grade English at Lee High School. During her first four years at KIPP she served an 8th grade ELA teacher, instructional coach, director of co-curricular activities, and assistant principal of the upper school. Before entering the classroom, Tai worked in multi-cultural advertising and public relations. After managing national ad and community relations campaigns she joined a private consulting firm, and served as the Director of Communications. Tai holds master’s degrees in organizational communications, educational leadership, and undergraduate degrees in communication studies and political science. This Texas-proud Big KIPPster can be found at the Third Ward campus, working hard with her phenomenal team to mold brilliant students into scholars and service-oriented leaders. Tai considers the roles of wife, mother and school leader a blessing and an honor.

- Tai was a state champion in wrestling during high school.
- Tai has been a vegetarian since the sixth grade.
- Tai is a hardcore gardener.
