Dan Caesar is a Head of Schools at KIPP Houston Public Schools. In this role, he oversees and supports seven schools working with a feeder pattern comprised of two primary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. He also supports two middle schools in Northeast Houston. His mentoring and support include leadership coaching, instructional walk-throughs, data analysis, planning for professional development, school-wide initiatives, and tactical or logistical planning when necessary. Dan’s tenure at KIPP Houston Public Schools began in 1997 as a teacher. In 2001, he opened the second KIPP Houston Public Schools middle school, KIPP 3D Academy. His experience and longevity have led him to his current role. Prior to joining KIPP Houston Public Schools, Dan taught in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas for two years as part of Teach For America. He earned a BA from Tufts University and an MBA from the Jones School of Business at Rice University.
