WHAT IS KIPP PALs?
PALs stands for Professionals, Advocates, and Leaders. We are a diverse group of individuals who support KIPP Houston in various ways, and we invite you to join us. KIPP, which stands for Knowledge Is Power Program, is a network of public charter schools preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and life.
WHY SHOULD YOU BE A KIPP PAL?
Joining KIPP PALs is a great way to meet new people and have fun while supporting a great cause. PALs is a very diverse group encompassing young professionals, educators and others who care about education. Check out our current board members here!
WHY SHOULD YOU SUPPORT KIPP?
Ninety percent of KIPP Houston students are from low-income communities, and in defiance of the odds, 90% of KIPP students are going to college. KIPP believes that every student deserves a great education, no matter what his or her zip code, and that all students can and WILL learn. KIPP has made a sacred promise to its students to help them climb the mountain to and through college, and as a PAL, you can help get them there. YOU can make a difference.
