KIPP CONNECT High School will complete the growth of our Pre-K through 12th grade community school serving the neighborhoods of Gulfton and Sharpstown in southwest Houston. Our vision is to create a learning community fueled by personal connections and focused on college readiness. Our school will empower our student with three key beliefs: We BELONG here. We seize every opportunity to BECOME our best, and together, we PERSIST in the pursuit of excellence and justice – now and in the future.

KIPP CONNECT High School is a growing school with a founding class of 160 freshmen and will continue to grow each year to ultimately serve 615 students in grades 9-12. We create personal connections and a network of support through daily advisory meetings, and we offer a rigorous, college preparatory curriculum through an AP for All course sequence and a growing fine arts program.

The school’s RHYTHM values will foster academic and character excellence:

Readiness – Preparing to go to and through college.
Humility – Operating with a growth mindset.
You – Understanding the power of your own story.
Together – Working collaboratively to meet our goals.
Hope – Envisioning the future we want for ourselves and our families.
Mentorship – Building relationships that pave the way to a choice-filled life.

Teaching at KIPP CONNECT High School:

KIPP CONNECT High School staff members bring our RHYTHM values to life. We are all teachers and mentors, doing whatever it takes to get better every day to prove the possible with our students and our community. KCHS is a place where our team models the growth mindset we hope to foster in our students; we operate as learners by engaging in real-time feedback, peer-to-peer collaboration, data-driven instruction, and the ongoing development of content expertise.
