Chief Advancement Officer
Laurie A. Bieber is the Chief Advancement Officer. In this role, she rejoined KIPP Houston Public Schools in 2014 to oversee fundraising and marketing. Laurie joined Mike Feinberg, KIPP Co-Founder, in Houston in 1995 to become one of four founding teachers of KIPP Academy. The following year, Laurie became the first Director of Development and stayed in that role until 2001 when she joined the KIPP Foundation and moved to San Francisco. After 10 years with KIPP assisting with the opening of the first 45 schools, Laurie joined her twin sister in New York in 2005 to recruit for financial services. She also took a one-year sabbatical from recruiting in 2007 to fundraise for the KIPP Schools in New York with Dave Levin, KIPP Co-Founder. Laurie received both an undergraduate degree in American History and American Civilization and a Master degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.

- Laurie is a shopaholic when it comes to Scholastic book orders for her 4-year-old son and has piles of books hidden under her bed.
- Laurie collects monogrammed stationery for the mostly obsolete tradition of writing hand-written thank-you notes.
