In Texas, public charter schools such as KIPP receive less funds from the state than traditional public schools. Therefore, KIPP Houston relies on the generous support of individuals, foundations, and corporations in order to provide a high-caliber, college-preparatory education for more than 8,000 pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade students in 20 schools.
