Academics
English Language Arts
At ZENITH, we believe that language is the foundation and ongoing support of literacy development is critical. We use a variety of teaching techniques to cultivate independent reading and writing skills in all children.
To support this, we will offer at each grade level, as academically appropriate, a reading program with the following components:
Mathematics
ZENITH's mathematics program offers our children opportunities to engage in learning activities that allow them to explore and understand mathematics through direct instruction, hands-on activities, and various real-world learning experiences.
Science
At ZENITH, we offer a science program that focuses on helping students develop basic scientific concepts and skills. Our program encourages students to question and explore their world through a variety of learning experiences that promote students' understanding of life science, earth and space science, physical science, technology, and the environment.
Social Studies
At ZENITH, our social studies classroom environment is highly collaborative, interactive, safe, and open. Our children learn about American virtues such as respect, ownership, equality, consideration for others, free speech, minority rights, and majority rule. Our students learn the values of a democratic society.
Spanish
Most experts agree that the earlier a child is introduced to a second language, the greater the chances are that the child will become truly proficient in the language. ZENITH, although not a dual language school, offers Spanish classes to students at all grade levels.
