Overview
As KIPP's first high school, KIPP Houston High School serves students in grades nine through twelve and is led by Lara Knight Wheatley. KHHS's student population is 81% Hispanic, 16% African-American, 2% Asian, 1% Caucasian, and 90% low income.
KHHS serves alumni from KIPP Academy Middle School and KIPP 3D Academy and students from the Southwest Houston ZIP codes of 77031, 77035, 77036, 77071, 77072, 77074, 77081, 77082, 77083, 77099, 77477, 77478, and 77498.
Academics
KHHS will offer a dynamic college preparatory education that encourages your confidence and independence. The challenging academic program at KHHS will require four years of English, mathematics, science, and social studies. Additional courses such as Spanish, business technology, and fine arts are part of the course offerings. Upon successful completion of all coursework, students will earn a Texas Recommended or Distinguished Achievement Program High School Diploma. Most significantly, students must seek and gain acceptance into a four-year college or university as a high school graduation requirement.

Mission
KHHS, in keeping with the mission of KIPP, is committed to helping students develop the strengthened academic and intellectual skills, knowledge, and character necessary for success in college and life.
