Overview
KIPP Academy Middle School opened in 1995 to serve students from all over Houston. KMS currently serves students in grades 5 through 8 and primarily serves students from southwest Houston. The KMS team is led by Elliot Witney and Dave Crumbine. KMS's student population is 79% Hispanic, 19% African-American, 2% Asian, and 95% low income. 6th Grade - "Sophomore Year"

7th Grade - "Junior Year"
Courses: English, Texas and U.S. history, life science, mathematics, pre-algebra, Spanish, fine arts, physical education and athletics
8th Grade - "Senior Year"

Mission
KIPP Academy Middle School's mission is to develop in all students the academic skills, intellectual habits, and qualities of character necessary to succeed in high school, college, and the competitive world beyond.
To help us fulfill our mission, each KMS faculty member, student, and parent signs a Commitment to Excellence form, which states the expectations for each individual party. The signatures on this form indicate that we are all committed to helping each KMS student meet the highest of expectations.
