MISSION
The KIPP Athletic Department will operate with integrity to build an environment of competence, great
character, and civility while promoting the value of education and good sportsmanship. We are dedicated
to changing lives through coaching and encouraging fairness, perseverance, self-discipline and healthy
competitiveness while keeping athletics fun for everyone.

WORKING HARD AND PLAYING HARDER
Now entering its second decade, the KIPP model includes more time for the instruction; school days begin at 7:30 am and end at 5 pm. With the longer day, we are preparing students to be successful in college and life. Student-athletes are not just strong physically and academically, they also know that “character counts.” They must work as a team and overcome adversity. KIPP Athletics has grown from having a few student-athletes who play an independent schedule to serving over 2,500 student athletes with the opportunity to compete under UIL.
